About

My name is Ricardo Andrés Acevedo

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I was an avid reader, writer, and gamer from an early age, making my own four-panel comics on printer paper during lunch in elementary school and putting an ungodly amount of hours into my PlayStation 2. I've always been incredibly passionate about creativity, and comics and games alike have opened my eyes to all the different ways in which we can tell our heartfelt stories through unique mediums. That's why I decided to study creative writing and graduated in 2021 from California State University, Northridge.

Since then, I've worked on a handful of personal projects, such as Bird Turd, my debut graphic novel, and Hypoxia, a one-shot comic for the horror anthology Horror, Not Hate, created by J.M. Brandt. Working on my own comics has made me realize my desire to help other creators bring their stories to life, which has led me to pursue editing as well!

When I'm not banging my head against the keyboard or cleaning my room in an attempt to avoid writing, you can usually find me playing drums or vibraphone for my band, diving into some comics or indie games, or on the lookout for the best sushi and burger joints in LA.
